This coolant float switch was what I used to send me information on the coolant level in my Toyota 2 ct which was linked to the EMS1 monitoring system .It is designed to be used in a metal coolant header tank and is ideal for the older style landrover copper (painted black normally).
It is very easy to install with just an electric hand drill and a hole saw .
I placed the sender approximatly 40mm below my normal header tank coolant level which gives me a slight delay in case of having a small leak in the system and having the gauge go off too early.
The EMS1 allows for compensating for the sloshing about of the coolant in the header tank whilst going over rough ground by an adjustable bounce time setting giving users the ability to install a further safe gaurd of false alarms
Been in 3 weeks and product seems to work well and gives me piece of mind
