Series I 80inch 1595cc is launched initially as a pick-up and then as a station wagon

1950
Full time four wheel drive is discontinued an all vehicles now have selectable four wheel drive

1952
Engine size is increased to 1997cc

1954
Wheelbase is increased to 86inch and a LWB 107inch is introduced
