KAM Differentials supply a Milspec (Military Specification) range of Diff lockers, strengthened sideshafts, CV joints, differentials and associated parts.

 

KAM Solenoid Diff Locker

Complete axle diff locker system with KAM heavy duty carrier. 0.4 sec heavy duty solenoid operated lock up via switch fitted in the cab. This system is also available with LSD combination giving the ultimate in traction control. Heavy Duty 8mm alluminium diff protector/cover now fitted as standard.

  • NOTE: For Defender 110 V8, Tdi, Early Td5 we suggest fitting a Wolf rear axle or a Disco 1 or Defender 90 Rear axle. LandyOnline will have these axles available on trade-in or purchase outright.
 
Half Shafts

We use a far better steel and more controlled heat treatment in the production of the KAM shafts. This combination gives the KAM shafts a better flexibility and up to approx 51% increase in strength. The KAM shafts have been used for the last 19 years in many trial and competition vehicles world wide. Since August 2009 we have been using aerospace grade material and a three stage heat treatment process . Shot peening, cryogenic treatment and polishing is undertaken on all our shafts and production parts. 5 years warranty on breakages in private use. Available for vehicles from 1984 onwards.

 
KAM Limited Slip Differential LSD

This carrier has the same casing as the Heavy Duty carrier above but fitted with 14 clutch plates which limits the drive / slip between wheels. There are 3 options of clutch plate configuration and pre-load is fully adjustable. Smoother power delivery to the half shafts than our competitors ensures less stress is applied to the shafts. Available for axles with removable type differentials.

 

 
Aerospace CV Conversions

The KAM CV conversion kit changes the 32 spline CV for a stronger 23 spline assembly. The kit has been designed to allow the fitment of KAM's well proven 23/24 spline strengthened half shafts. The added advantage with this conversion is that it comes with 3 fusible stub shafts (2 for fitment and 1 as a spare) that shear at a preset level of torque. 5 minute change time for fusible shaft. Tested up to 9000 Nm with no failures. Available for vehicles from 1984 onwards.

 
Crown Wheel & Pinions Up to 70% stronger    New front spiral reversed gear cutting

KAM are the only company in the world to offer a range of alternative ratios that have been designed to offer the Land Rover user a choice for the varying engines and tyre sizes that are used around the world. Our new generation of gear set’s have been designed so that the front spiral is reversed so that it runs in the correct direction. ie; the same as the rear. The KAM gear sets have 24 splines and an M22 nut on the pinion end. Ratios are 4.75, 4.1, 3.8, 2.83. Available for axles with removable type differentials.

KAM Heavy Duty Carrier

This 4 pinion heavy duty carrier is 60% stronger than standard. It has been designed as a 3 part unit, held together with 12 x 12/9 bolts. It can be upgraded to a clutch plate type Limited Slip Diff simply by removing spacer plates and installing a KAM clutch plate kit. Available for axles with removable type differentials. Available for axles with removable type differentials.

 
KAM Bling Heavy Duty Hubs

These new KAM HD driving member hubs have 10 bolt holes and are made out of the same material as our crown wheel and pinions. They have 10 bolt holes so that they will fit both metric and imperial axles. i.e.; they have different pdc to fit the 2 types.

They fit standard to the narrow type hub, if you what to fit them to a wide type hub (Early Defender) then you just have to purchase a spacer.
